Le Monde Merveilleux de Pépito is the quartet around trumpet player and composer Pierre-Antoine Savoyat that culminated in Memories from a Winter Journey after five years of development. For this ode to his mother, the quartet was expanded to include saxophone and a string quartet, resulting in an intimate and layered fusion of jazz and classical.

Pierre-Antoine Savoyat is a French trumpeter and composer based in Brussels, where he earned a Master’s degree in Jazz at the Flemish Royal Music Conservatory. In addition, he has an extensive knowledge of classical music. Alongside leading his own quartet, he participates in numerous projects, including the new sextet The Rhythm Hunters led by Stéphane Galland, as well as more recent collaborations with Aka Moon. Savoyat has also built a successful career as a composer for classical musicians, with some of his compositions featured in music competitions such as the European Brass Band Championship.
